Shannon Stewart (born 1956) is a Canadian poet.[1]

Life[]

Stewart was born in Ottawa, Ontario, and raised in British Columbia. She holds an M.F.A. in creative writing from the University of British Columbia.[2]

She lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.[2] She is married to art director Michael Diner, and has two children, a daughter and a son.[3]

Recognition[]

Stewart's debut collection of poetry, The Canadian Girl, was a finalist for the Milton Acorn People's Poetry Award and Gerald Lampert Award for Best First Book of Poetry.[4]
