Ohio University Press is part of Ohio University. It publishes under its own name and the imprint Swallow Press.
Ohio University Press was incorporated in 1947, and formally organized in 1964. It is the largest scholarly press in Ohio, publishing roughly 50 titles and generating approximately $1 million in sales per year.[1]

Swallow Press is a literary press founded in the 1940s by poet and professor Allan Swallow. Its published authors include Allen Tate, Yvor Winters, Janet Lewis, J. V. Cunningham, Anaïs Nin, and Frank Waters. Ohio University Press has managed the acquisition, production, and distribution of Swallow Press titles for more than 25 years.[1]
